River Eden added to Rivers and Canals in North West by CSB73 on 04/03/2021

You can park in a layby on a small country lane at the end of the footpath. The NT own a small woods between the footpath and the river but not the path itself. Can get a few walker in the area but the path is wide and has open fields to one side of it. Once you take off and fly over the trees you get views of the river and lovely Cumbrian countryside beyond.

No permissions are required. Plenty of open space to take off and land from. Can tend to be a bit windy so use common sense and not rely on UAV Forecast and other apps. Can also be busy with coastal and dog walkers

Magic Roundabout, Swindon (By clinkadink)

I parked in Swindon Football Stadium's car park, about 50m north of the roundabout.

In 2005, it was voted the worst roundabout in a survey of the general public by a UK insurance company. In September 2007, the Magic Roundabout was named as one of the world's worst junctions by a UK motoring magazine. In December 2007, BBC News reported a survey identifying The Magic Roundabout as one of the "10 Scariest Junctions in the United Kingdom"; however, the roundabout provides a better throughput of traffic than other designs and has an excellent safety record, since traffic moves too slowly to do serious damage in the event of a collision.

Rumbling Bridge (By Todddji)

There are parking spaces on the road here but I went here after not being back in years and there are far more trees over the river than I ever remember and I wouldn't advise flying low as it is so overgrown. Also, that wind blows hard through the bridge and will throw a little Mini 2 about :D
