TSS Duke of Lancaster (By kvetner)

You can park for free at Abakhan Fabrics, where there is a cafe and public toilets. Footpaths run down to the shore on either side of a water channel, these are both public footpaths. Fly from the footpath or the shore (the east footpath leads to better clear space for take-off and landing). Hazards: pedestrians using the paths, a railway line, and various overhead cables.

Cambusnethan Priory (By JoeC)

There's a car park on Castlehill Road. Unless you have a 4x4, I'd park there and walk down to the Priory... I tried to drive down in a Yaris and got stuck in one of the potholes! This

Warrington Transporter Bridge (By kvetner)

I parked at Warrington Animal Welfare, postcode WA1 1NA. From there, follow a footpath south-west to the edge of a farmer's field, there is good space here for take-off and landing. You can continue on the path down to the river bank and along to the right to maintain VLOS, but note that the industrial areas east and west of the bridge may be counted as a "congested area".

Hoober Stand (By mockingbird71)

This is a very quiet area of fitzwilliam wentworth estates and easy to find a spot to pull up and find a spot to launch? The area is currently undergoing a facelift to improve the vista from the stand itself.Creating ever stunning views. Hoober stand is in an elevated position so can be tricky to fly even on relatively calm days. Please be aware there are lots of working farms in this area and livestock in the fields pleas be mindfull of both livestock and wildlife when flying.

Keepel's Column (By mockingbird71)

Easy access to get great shots of the column, easy access to open parkland. On street parking is available at the side of the column. The area is designated as a yellow zone and highly likely you will come accross members of the public at some point as its a fave spot for dog walkers. Also bea aware the proximity of the houses close to where you are about to launch although nobody seems to be bothered your there ?

Runnymede Pleasure Ground (By CaptainAdrona)

No council bylaws present restricting the use of drones or model aircrafts. This park is does not fall under the National Trust either. From the planning document: Runnymede Pleasure Grounds (RPG) is a public open space on the banks of the River Thames, mid-way between Egham and Old Windsor. It is held by the Council as Trustee and the Trustee function is delegated to the Community Services Committee. As mentioned in the warning, this park can get busy, especially on weekends. Would err on the side of caution flying here.

Needle Eye Folly (By mockingbird71)

A minutes walk from the main road that runs through wentworth where there is lots of pull ins by the road side. A lovely place to sit down with a sandwich and a cup of tea and enjoy the tranquility when not flying. A nice out of the way area easy place to fly for a bit of fun.

Hurkling Edge - Broomhead Moor (By mockingbird71)

This stunning part of edale is siituated approx 12 miles from sheffield and 8 miles from barnsley and is on the border between south yorkshire and derbyshire. This area is a mix of private farm land and the peak district national park. To park in this area simply pull up by the road side or find a layby of which there are plenty. Hurkling edge and broomhead moor is pretty remote but you will generally come accross people walking, especially on a weekend! Best to fly this area when there is little or no wind due to the moors exposed nature. The marker placed on the map is the best place to park. This are has some beautiful colours that acccentuate the rolling hills and the heather that adourns those hills. Feel free to ask questions on the forum if you need any further help or information flying this area.
