You can fly because:

  • You can fly in the Over People (A1) Open sub-category.
  • Your drone is small enough or class-marked appropriately for Over People (A1) (under 250g, or UK0/C0 or UK1/C1 or equivalent).
  • In Over People (A1) you may fly close to and over uninvolved people, provided you never endanger anyone and you never fly over crowds.
  • You do not need an A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) to fly in the Over People (A1) sub-category.
  • You must still follow the Drone and Model Aircraft Code, including the 120m height limit and any airspace restrictions.
  • Sub-250g legacy / self-built aircraft do not require Remote ID from 1st January 2028.
  • Use the Drone Scene map to check for any airspace restrictions in the area before you take off.
