Our flying association, Grey Arrows Drone Club, provides our Gold Members with £5,000,000 of Public Liability Insurance (PLI) cover.

You're covered whether you're flying for fun, helping a neighbour with a roof survey, doing a photoshoot for an estate agent, selling aerial photos online, or turning your drone hobby into a side hustle with some paid gigs.

Details and benefits of our Hobbyist, Commercial and Business Drone Insurance

Limit of Cover:

  • £5,000,000 in any one Public Liability claim
  • Recreational use of drone and model aircraft flying
  • Commercial and business use of drone and model aircraft flying
    • EC Regulation 785/2004 compliant insurance cover for commercial operations
  • Flights conducted within CAA Drone and Model Aircraft Code regulations
  • FPV flights must be accompanied by a spotter

Excess:

  • £250

Limitations to Use:

  • Named person flying must hold a valid CAA Flyer ID
  • Named person flying must be aged 18 or over
  • Commercial operations limited to £15,000 turnover per year
  • Flying in the UK only
  • UK residents only

Excludes:

  • Flying beyond Visual Line of Sight
  • Damage to property owned, leased, hired or loaned to the Insured
  • Criminal acts, airside activities, communicable disease, malicious damage

If you need to make a claim

  • Immediately contact info@greyarro.ws
  • Do not admit liability
  • Do not discuss or share details of your insurance claim with anyone, it could affect your claim
  • Grey Arrows Drone Club may need to report your incident to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or to Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB)

If, for any reason, your Grey Arrows Drone Club account is terminated, this will simultaneously terminate your Public Liability Insurance cover.
