Poulter Country Park added to Parks and Recreation in East Midlands by MrG on 30/06/2020

Only 2 small car parks but close to a local train station. The nearby airfield is far enough away not to cause an issue if you stay away from it. Doesn't tend to get very busy especially in the evenings. Good views over towards Lincolnshire.

Lake on Longstone Moor (By kvetner)

I parked at https://what3words.com/infinite.velocity.escapades. You can fly from beside the dried-up lake, from where you park, or a nearby public footpath. However, note that the lake area has plenty of warning signs (quicksand).

Ditchling Common (By Phoenix76)

There is free parking to the south end of ditching common. Suggest moving to the north end of the common and checking the East Sussex County Council website for the cattle movements around the common. Would make sense to avoid them during the lambing season. There is plenty of open space to be 50m+ away from people. Be aware of the road and railway on the east and south sides of the common. There is currently no bylaw on the East Sussex County Council website restricting flight.

Ardingly Reservoir (By Phoenix76)

There is a car park at the bottom of the reservoir, but the gates are locked at 7pm. So I would recommend parking on the drive and walking up to the reservoir via the public footpath and flying after the gates are locked. Be aware that there is some national trust land at one end of the reservoir. (This actually belongs to Kew, but it was administered by the NT)

Newlands Corner (By Ned)

Newlands Corner is a very popular destination for walkers. As such, it's best to visit very early/late in the day. There's a large Car Park with pay meters, but if you go early/late enough, you can get away without paying. From Newlands, you can fly south into the valley towards Albury. Newlands is 564ft above sea level. Albury is at 200ft.

Eton Wick Fields (By starharbour5)

There's a layby to pull over at so you can fly from there or walk into the field to fly. Dog walkers come here so pick your time of day carefully. Lovely view of windsor racecourse from here which is right next door.

Oakley Green (By starharbour5)

Park on side of the road at Down Pl and cross Windsor Rd and go through the gate across from Bray Studios... walk down the path until you're happy. There are a number of fields to fly in. Take off from your hand as its public right of way, although you're very unlikely to come across anyone here.

Longham Lakes- built by Wessex Water as reservoirs about 25 years ago. Farmers fields, golf course, and the river Stour to the west, don't go east as NFZ for Bournemouth Airport. Be mindful of the power lines! Hiddem little gem.
