Dunure Castle, South Ayrshire (By Crackerjack)

Dunure Castle is a ruin on a cliff. Parking is at ///handover.gurgling.revise, there was no one taking money when we were there but there's a kiosk when they do. When you've flown around the castle, if you like seafood walk to The Anchorage which faces Dunure's tiny harbour. We only had time for a drink there, but the seafood menu looked lovely as did the dishes we watched go past.
I searched for any drone restrictions but found none, only found lots of drone videos & photos of the castle.

Hest Bank Shore (By Crackerjack)

Hest Bank shore is next to the West Coast mainline and a lovely part of the area. Plenty of parking, small café open when it's worth them opening which is most days. Nice walk along the shore and good for taking the dog for a walk. Not the best photo to show off the area but I was testing DJI Fly 1.4.12 and wrong time of day for the sun.
Turn off the main road at ///pelted.beaters.shredder and parking is along the shore the other side of the line.

Happy Mount Park, Morecambe (By Crackerjack)

Lancaster City Council's drone policy is follow the drone code. Photo taken early evening with a Mini 2 while the park was relatively empty. It's a lovely park, ideal for young families or an evening stroll of any age. Sandwiches between Bare village and Morecambe Golf Club.

Knott End, across the River Wyre from Fleetwood and beyond is Blackpool. Photo shows the car park, ///daydreams.jumbled.position, and I launched at the top of the Ferry Slipway, ///huddling.exhale.growl, also in the photo

Small tower high above Lancaster, popular with walkers and for the views. Small free car park next to the tower. Hilly farming area with a few farms nearby.

Silverdale Beach, Carnforth (By Crackerjack)

Parking on street either in the village or on Shore Road then walk down to the shore and left along the grass. Even a sunny day like today, it was relatively quiet. Catch it like today with the sun & low tide, you can walk out a long way but you'll need wellies to get to the beach. *Beware* the incoming tide which could come in behind you.

River Lune near Lancaster (By Crackerjack)

Park at Bull Beck car park (///duet.surgical.regress) then walk to ///comedians.path.headliner next to the river. Keep on walking and you get to the bridge in the photo which carries water across the Lune but can be walked over. Plenty of spots by the river for a picnic.

Car parking on the foreshore. Can safely take off adhering to drone code if you launch half way between houses & farm. If you're there during the (non-covid) daytime, there's a lovely cafe at the farm. A nice sunny evening doesn't attract too many people.
